Blue Dream
It’s a clean, glassy morning in the shorebreak at East Beach. The sun is shining, the water is cool, the air is pure. Set after set, it’s a perfect display of target practice with my camera. Shot after shot, I’m smiling to the brim with energy and a quiet calm underneath. As the day goes on, and dawn turns to morning, which turns to day. I find myself shifting down to a new sandbar. You can feel something in the water. Nature’s calling. Intuition. A feeling. It gets flat for a while which sets me in a daze for about five minutes. And then it happens, a pulse of energy so perfect rolling through as I prepare for the wave to begin it’s break. It’s magnificent, the colors, the calm, the energy. Time slows down like a dream, a Blue Dream.
